Synopsis
There have been many versions of this wonderful story originally written in 1734. The more popular version told today was rewritten by Joseph Jacobs recorded in 1890.
Our story begins: Jack Trot, a poor country boy is forced to sell the family's only cow Daisy as their rent is long overdue and they could lose their home. Unfortunately, on the road to market Jack is tricked by Demon Boris as the money turns into a bag of beans. On his return home even his best friend Tommy cannot help him when his mother, Dame Trot, throws him out along with the beans in anger and disgust.
Cruel Demon Boris has other plans for the village people of Bumble Green namely as food for his master, Giant Munchabones, who lives at the top of the Beanstalk. Villagers are slowly kidnapped and even Jack’s sweetheart, Jill, is taken. The village is in great danger and only one person can save them.
Luckily with the help of the Flower Fairy the beans magically grow into a huge beanstalk, and she encourages Jack to climb it, but cannot help him any further. What will happen when he reaches the top? How will he find his sweetheart Jill? Will he get past Demon Boris to fight Giant Munchabones and rid this terrible monster from Bumble Green?
