SYNOPSIS: 

 

An afternoon of amusing social chatter in a great country-house turns into something much darker when Lady Hunstanton and her guests are joined by the witty, amoral Lord Illingworth. Also in attendance is Mrs. Arbuthnot; who's son Gerald, has been offered the position of Lord Illingworth secretary. However to his surpise he finds that she is a woman from his past who he once had an affair with, "A woman," he says, "of no importance." Unfortunately for him, he is wrong as it becomes apparent that he is Gerald's father.

PLAYWRIGHT: 

 

Oscar Wilde (October 16, 1854 – November 30, 1900) was an Irish playwright, novelist, poet, and short story writer. Known for his barbed wit, he was one of the most successful playwrights of late Victorian London, and one of the greatest celebrities of his day.
