Synopsis:
The story of poor Mother Goose , who is befriended by Priscilla, the goose that lays golden eggs. Although suddenly rich, she finds that wealth cannot buy her beauty and in desperation, she finally swops Priscilla for the promise of youth and beauty, as offered by the evil wizard, Hassan. However, she soon realises that beauty is not everything and that she must get Priscilla back and after a visit to King & Queen Gander in Gooseland, Priscilla agrees to return and they all live happily ever after.
BHTC NOTES: After a fire ruined the stage and dressing room areas of the Park Centre, the pantomime was moved to the Oakmeads School Hall whilst repairs were made.
PLAYWRIGHT: Marjorie Ristorie was June Colledge's mother and in years to come, June would utilise, update and adapt the professional scripts for the benefit of BHTC.
