Synopsis:
This traditional family pantomime tells the story of poor Mother Goose who is befriended by Priscilla, the goose that lays golden eggs. Although suddenly rich, she finds that wealth cannot buy her beauty and in desperation, she finally swops Priscilla for the promise of youth and beauty, as offered by the evil Montezuma (King of the Aztecs). However, she soon realises that beauty is not everything and that she must get Priscilla back. After a visit to King & Queen Gander in Gooseland, Priscilla agrees to return and they all live happily ever after.
The tale is actually about Mother Goose herself and therefore it traditionally creates the biggest part for a Dame in any pantomime.
