Synopsis:
Hedda Rankin, wife of a zoo official, returns from prison to her London home to find out what her family have been up to whilst she's been away. Her husband has not been faithful, her daughter's got rid of her own husband and is now pregnant by another man and her son has brought a Greek girl back with him from abroad, who can speak no other language.
Hedda sets out to bring her household to its senses, but it is her husband who eventually puts things right, while she takes the credit....
