AUTHOR / PLAYWRIGHT: Dennis Wheatley (8 January 1897 – 10 November 1977) was a British writer born in London. Better known for his prolific output of stylish thrillers and occult novels than comedies, Thyroid was first published in 1942, as part of a collection of short stories titled 'Mediterranean Nights'.
