The audition details for forthcoming productions are shown here.
We hold Open Auditions for all plays and, if necessary, principal roles in our annual pantomime. However, any non-member chosen for a role is required to become a full member of the Burgess Hill Theatre Club to appear on stage in the production. You will be expected to join during the first rehearsal.
Please ensure that you will be available for the rehearsal period and the stated production dates before auditioning.

About the play:
Join us as we step back in time to the 1980’s for an immersive experience of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Ed Johnson. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone who loves or is new to Shakespeare, and might even create an appreciation for those less keen on ‘the Bard’.
The play follows four young lovers, who on the evening of the local Lord’s wedding escape to the woods where they are beset by fairy enchantments. Much confusion and hilarity ensues. Meanwhile, a group of am=dram actors, desperately trying to rehearse, get caught up in the fight between the fairy King and Queen.
Characters:
This high paced, energy driven piece has excellent opportunities for actors of all genders and ages, so come along to the read through and see if it tickles your fancy!
